Title Sequence
When Blacklist director Saiman Chow approached us about the Ciclope Festival Titles, we nearly lost our craps. This piece is a poignant time capsule into Peak Antfood Zaniness™.
After initial conversations, we decided to create different musical vignettes for each scene and give each production partner their own micro-jingle in Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, English, French and Simlish. To enhance the animation, we utilized our entire New York and São Paulo teams – as well as an arsenal of Moog & Arp2600 Basslines, Drum Machines and human drummers, a Michael Brecker-style Sax, Revox reel-to-reel for tape effects, P-Bass solos, squeaking cuícas, and synthesized and foley sound design.
Finally, we requested that everyone in the studios write and record a vocal performance in their native tongue. The result was awesome.
This is the best piece of music that has ever been made for advertising.
